Am I 100% sold he is the man? I’m not sure.

It’s not that i doubt his talents. I think he is an international level player, but test cricket is a different beast. I feel like he is going to benefit the most from the selectors 140km/h minimum policy.

On this particular tour, he is in a battle with O’Keefe, Henriques and Bird to fill the last bowling position. Bird is the incumbent, but the selectors have a habit of looking for the extra speed on the slower wickets. I think they will look to blood him if the chance arises.

I’m guessing that O’Keefe will get at least two matches. I feel like this is the last chance to really have a look at him as the second spin option for the next few years or if we move on to one of the younger options, like Zampa.

If O’Keefe fails, I think they will look to bring the pace, but personally, I would prefer Bird.

Prediction: Drinks carrier for this tour, but if he gets a test, I feel like he will learn a few things the hard way.
